The thing is, we don’t know that these are “star visitors.” They might be extrauniversal, not extraterrestrial. See Jacques Vallée et al. for the details.
Anyway, how do you suppose people would react if they knew the Visitors were not from afar, but from right here, occupying the same space where we’re sitting? What if they knew we don’t understand their “technology” one iota? And, that they could disable our defenses?
I think they’d come unglued.

So let me get this straight… Missiles during tests are being deactivated by so-called aliens/visitors but the missiles launched from carriers miles away during both Gulf wars, and missiles that have been launched from Predator drones that have in fact killed people and even friendlies, are not being deactivated? Why are the ones for tests, that won’t kill anyone, are being deactivated? and the ones that matter and perhaps SHOULD be, are not? Two words: B. S.

Your all wrong. Scientist doesn’t understand that the reason they can travel far and beyond is not only their technology, but also there resources. We are limited as to our resources for space travel; however, they are not.

There is a cost to be numb at your own government keeping you from these information as these information is part of an evolving situation where you own life and others are in stake and hang in the balance. And the cost will not be so much in money terms or economic upeveil as much a symptom to your own extinction, sitting down as a spectator to your own demise. Aliens may be real. But why would they be bothered about crazy monkeys (us) blowing themselves up using crude nuclear fission devices? If aliens were observing this incident they would probably be more interested to see how this thing plays out.
What is even more scary, is the prospect of human beings involved.
